I'M DR CARL BRYCE.
I'm an British Army Veteran turned Health Psychologist and the founder of Above Your Baseline.
After leaving the military, I spent years studying psychology and health behaviour change, eventually completing a Doctorate in Health Psychology. I now work in Clinical Health Psychology at Salford Royal Hospital, helping people navigate the psychological impact of long-term health conditions.
But AYB isn’t just built from professional expertise — it’s born from lived experience. I know what it feels like to slip into burnout, autopilot living, and self-criticism. I also know the power of small, compassionate steps to shift the direction of life.
That combination of science and real-world experience is at the heart of everything we do here.
